Behind Food & Wanderlust

My whole life has always revolved around food - Well I mean, who's hasn't... right? 

All jokes aside, I found a passion for food from a very young age, which fortunately for me, allowed the opportunity to pursue a profession in the Hospitality industry right from grade school. Although I have my degree in baking and pastry arts, I also love savory food, beverage, and travel all equally. I truly believe that to LIVE fully is to experience different cultures through the ambience created with food, drink and good company in combination with quality entertainment. The memories that we create fuel the fire in our souls.

I wanted to create this blog to express myself in a more laid back and quite frankly, "outside of the box" type of way. I was never much of a writer in my younger years, even though I always expressed interest in it and being a chef does require at least the most basic knowledge to be able to write things like this a recipe or menu description. Previous to this, I had an online portfolio of just pictures from my starting years as a chef. "What better way to level up than to add some context" I though, and alas, the Food & Wanderlust blog was born.

Now a days I find myself with a lot of time to explore my creativity and the different ways of sharing my knowledge with World. I have a few business ventures that are up and coming including an infused dessert line called Liquid Gold and a podcast with a couple of my close friends from culinary school called The Mixing Pot Podcast. On the side I cater (mainly sweets), partake in chef events, and teach basic culinary recipes and techniques on an online platform called Skillshare. A "Multi-faceted creative," as a good friend once called me, I enjoy art, puzzles, and dancing as hobbies of mine. The majority of the day you'll catch me loving on my cat Mylo.
